Elections office release local voters' pamphlet

Levies for 10 schools on this year's ballot

COLFAX - The Whitman County Elections Office has released the 2024 Local Voters' Pamphlet for the Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024 Special Election, with ballots expected to be mailed out Friday, Jan. 26.

This year's Special Election ballot has several school district resolutions from LaCrosse School District, Pullman School District, Colfax School District, St. John School District, Tekoa School District, Steptoe School District, Colton School District, Endicott School District, Rosalia School District, and Oakesdale School District.

School district resolutions listed in the Local Voters' pamphlet include one proposition from LaCrosse, two from Pullman, one from Colfax and two from St. John School District.

Those that are not listed in the pamphlet, but are on this year's special elections ballot, include two levies from Tekoa School District, one levy from Steptoe School District, one levy from Colton School District, two levies from Endicott School District and two levies from Rosalia Schools.

Ballots with a prepaid postage return envelope will be mailed out Friday, Jan. 26.

The Election's Office reminds voters that drop boxes can drop off ballots by 8 p.m. on Election Day on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024.

The Whitman County Elections Office is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 8 p.m. on Election Day at 304 North Main Street, and a drop box is located in the alleyway behind the office.

A ballot box is located in Oakesdale at 103 South First Street. In St. John, a ballot box can be found adjacent to the Northwest Grain Growers Office at 33 East Front Street.

In Pullman, voters can find a ballot box at Southeast Paradise Street, just outside Hinrichs Trading Co., and below the Rosauers sign in the parking lot at 1205 North Grand Avenue.
