Andrew Michael Arland, 38, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at his home in Garfield, on February 8th, 2024.
He was born on September, 26, 1985, to John and Lorinda Arland. He grew up in the Garfield and Palouse area, attending Garfield Elementary School. He graduated from Garfield Palouse High School in 2004. He went on to attend Walla Walla Community College and Washington State University studying Business.
Growing up a 4th generation Dryland Farmer, he started working early alongside his father and grandfather. He became very skilled at a young age, he could operate any machine, pull any implement, repair any machine and weld like a master. He not only worked for his family but was gainfully employed over the years by many other area farmers. He was well liked by everyone. He was forever a kind and thoughtful young man, even spending many hours caregiving for his elderly Step Grandmother. He especially loved cats, and cats especially loved him. He never married.
He enjoyed many activities with family and friends such as motorcycling both on and off road, playing basketball, watching basketball, improving all his personal vehicles, snobiking, flying with his pilot friends, shooting, and building miniature auto and airplane models. He was always polite, and well loved by many.
Andrew is survived by one sister Kendali Mercier (Brennan); three nephews, Ryder Michael, Finley Rhett, and Declan Nash Mercier, Post Falls, Idaho; his mother Lorinda Marple (Daymon), Garfield, Wash .; his father John Arland (Cynthia), Farmington, Wash .; and paternal grandparents, Mike and RoseMarie Arland, Palouse, Wash.
A Celebration of Life will be held February 17th, 1 p.m., at Garfield Christian Fellowship, Garfield Wash., Presented by Pastor Dean Walker.
Family suggests memorials be made to Garfield EMS, Union Gospel Mission of Spokane, or Garfield Cemetery District.
Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse is handling the arrangements.
