Pullman lawyer runs for Superior Court Judge
COLFAX — Local lawyer Jenna Brozik announced on Friday, April 5, her candidacy for Whitman County Superior Judge.
Brozik is owner and managing attorney of the law firm, Prinz and Brozik PLLC in Pullman. Practicing law since 2010, she is licensed to practice in both states of Washington and Idaho.
Prinz and Brozik represents clients in criminal defense, civil litigation, family, employment law, and estate planning.
Currently serving as Presiding Judge Pro Tempore of Colfax Municipal Court, Adjunct Professor at the University of Idaho College of Law, and as a certified mediator for civil litigation cases, Brozik said she is looking forward to continuing to serve the people of Whitman County, as she has done her entire career.
“The Washington State Legislature has given judges at the Superior Court level a significant amount of discretion,” Brozik said, “It is so critical to elect a judge who is professional, has an in-depth understanding of the law, and will follow the law.”
Brozik is endorsed by retired Spokane County District Court Judge Richard White, Whitman County Court Commissioner Howard Neill and Mayor of Colfax Jim Retzer.
Brozik is also endorsed by several local attorney, business owners and community members.
“As judge, I will not be governed by politics,” Brozik said, adding that she will be a neutral decision maker.
“I believe it is paramount that we have a justice system that works, and that everyone has equal access to justice,” Brozik said, “I will ensure that will happen in my courtroom.”
Current Judge Gary Libey will retire at the end of the year, with the election for Superior Court Judge Nov. 5.
**In the original article published in the print version of the Whitman County Gazette, it was stated that Whitman County Judge John Hart was endorsing Brozik, this was incorrectly printed due to revision to press releases**
