Tekoa man arrested on multiple charges

COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho — A Tekoa man accused of trying to strangle his girlfriend has been released on bond.

Brandon Calvin Camp, 19, was released from the Kootenai County Jail on $35,000 bond April 5, court records sow. He is charged with felony attempted strangulation and misdemeanors of unlawful entry, malicious injury to property, false imprisonment and battery.

Records show the arrest stems from a domestic violence incident.

Preliminary hearings in the case have been scheduled for 8:30 a.m. April 16 and 1:30 p.m. April 18, records show.

Camp was arrested in the 5800 block of North Stafford Street on April 3 after allegedly trying to strangle his girlfriend, court records show. A probable cause affidavit was not available at press time.

On April 4, he appeared in court from the Kootenai County Jail via video.

The court assigned Anne Chere Taylor as his public defender.
