Traffic stop leads to arrest of suspected dealer

PULLMAN— A traffic stop on Sunday, April 7, led to the arrest of suspected cocaine dealer Lance Greggory Dawson, 20, of Pullman.

Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle at Northwest State Street and Northwest Irving Street in Pullman, at 12:54 a.m., according to public records.

The driver, Isaac O. Nino, 20, of Pullman was found with cocaine. According to a probable cause affidavit, Nino told Sheriff’s Deputy Cory Alcantar that he received the drugs from a guy named “L,” determined to be Dawson.

Nino was cited and released, according to records.

According to records, deputies contacted Dawson at his residence where he was taken into custody without incident.

Upon receiving a search warrant for Dawson’s residence, from Whitman County District Court Judge John Hart, according to court records, deputies found numerous prepackaged bags believed to contain cocaine.

According to a media release from April 7, deputies also located packaging material, scales, dispensing equipment, cash and evidence that Dawson was selling large quantities of cocaine.

According to court records, Deputy Alcantar reported finding psilocybin mushrooms in a bedroom, and a prescription bottle for hydrocodone pills, containing four white oval tablets.

The items were seized and located as evidence, according to court records.

According to records, Timberline Apartments Community Manager Josh Hoelscher was contacted confirming that Dawson was only renting one of the rooms and should not have access to other units.

Dawson’s girlfriend, Bridgette Ivy Ward, 20, of Pullman, was also using one of the rooms, according to court records.

Records show, Dawson was booked into the Whitman County Jail on three charges of controlled substances including cocaine, mushrooms, hydrocodone and two counts of criminal trespass first-degree. Dawson is being held without bail through Superior Court.

Ward was also booked on charges of knowingly possessing cocaine and criminal trespass first degree. Ward is being held on a $500 cash only bail through District Court, according to public records.
