Welcome to Palouse Lacrosse Club

PALOUSE - The Palouse Lacrosse club is actively seeking participants to join their girls lacrosse team, who are already in full swing.

The club practices twice a week in Pullman, with travel games played on weekends.

"We aim to provide a balance between lacrosse and other sports for the girls," said Lacrosse Head Coach Brett Putney.

Some players currently on the team spoke about their experience with lacrosse so far.

"I play midfield. I like running up and down the field and playing, attacking, and defending," said Lilea Merwin.

Lilea Merwin also stated that her team won a tournament in Spokane, which was an exciting time for her and her team, and they all have pictures of them with their trophy.

"It's just a really good way for you to connect with other girls," said Nari Plazke.

"So far it's been pretty good. Pretty relaxed," said Alea Merwin.

Alea also stated that the team went on a travel tournament this season, where the team all stayed together, and it was a great bonding experience for her and her teammates.

Lacrosse is a fast-paced, physical sport, however, the sport is also great conditioning for other sports.

The team travels all throughout the county and state of Washington competing against other club programs.

The team aims to have their next home match in Colfax, on the football field, on Friday and Saturday, May 3 and 4.
