PROJECT NAME: Pool and Bathhouse Renovation

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City of Colfax is requesting bids for the renovation of the pool lining and plumbing system along with a Bath House Renovation with a 210 square foot ADA bathroom addition. It is important to have a good understanding of the proposed work prior to submittal due to special circumstances and limited time.

Project to be completed no later than the beginning of June 2025, weather-permitting. This is a Prevailing Wage job.

Pool Renovation Scope of Work to include:

Demolition of pool decks, back wall of gutter, front wall of gutter, tunnel ceiling, and pool floor return lines.

Installation of ALL new plumbing for pool return floor inlets and all new plumbing from gutter to surge tank.

Installation of RenoSys DuraTech Stainless Steel Gutter System and RenoSys PVC Membrane.

Installation of new decks, new deck drains, deck depth marker tiles, grab and hand rails, racing lanes, ADA lift, stanchion anchors, and perimeter fencing.

Bonding of new equipment where applicable.

Permit and Design.

Bathhouse Scope of Work to include:

Updating 12 shower fixtures.

Demolition of 2 existing urinals and addition of 1 – 3 person trough urinal to the Men’s bathroom.

Build 210 square foot ADA bathroom addition, with 1 ADA bathroom and sink.

Addition of 1 sink to the Women’s bathroom and 1 sink to the Men’s bathroom; 3 spigots; 1 mop sink to the mechanical room, and 1 baby changing station to the Men’s bathroom and 1 baby changing station to the Women’s bathroom.

Installation of new toilet stall doors in the Women’s bathroom and the addition of toilet stall doors to the Men’s bathroom.

Include allotment for replacement of all lighting fixtures, as needed.

Include allotment for the painting of interior surfaces – color and necessity to be determined by city prior to start of project.

The awarded contractor will supply all associated design and permits, equipment, materials and labor to satisfactorily complete the work.

BID SUBMITTAL: Formal, sealed bids must be received by 11:00 a.m. on April 25, 2024. Bids shall be submitted to the City of Colfax at 400 N Mill Street, Colfax, WA 99111.

REJECTION OF BIDS: The City shall have the right to reject any or all bids in any way incomplete or irregular.

SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS:

In order to consider a bid complete and responsible, the contractor shall have the following requirements completed at the time of submittal:

Sealed bid must be submitted on a signed bid sheet.

Certificate of Liability Insurance must be provided.

Contractor must be licensed and insured in the State of Washington. No bidder may withdraw a bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

Contractor will be required to pay Whitman County Prevailing Wage Rates as of January, 2024. The Whitman County rates are available at the Dept. of Labor and Industries website

Contractor must be eligible to perform work on public works projects. The City will verify if you have completed your Labor and Industries required training or if you are exempt from this requirement. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure this is completed before awarding.
