Winds cause power outage

COLFAX –– Residents on the west of Main Street in Colfax experienced a power outage Monday, April 15.

At approximately 1 p.m., according to a report from Avista, 425 customers experienced a disruption in their electric service due to high winds in the area.

Reports say, the winds caused infrastructure damage, leading to power lines being downed near Whitman Hospital and Medical Clinics.

According to reports, an Avista crew was able to make the necessary repairs to the downed lines, restoring power to residents at approximately 4 p.m.
