Snake River Chinook fishing open

COLFAX — Spring Chinook Salmon fishing on the Snake River is officially open for select dates. The locations and dates are as follows:

Location A: Below Little Goose Dam. Open Tuesdays and Fridays only, starting Tuesday, May 7.

Location B: Below Ice Harbor Dam. Open Wednesdays and Thursdays starting Wednesday, May 8. Fishing will be open on those days until further notice. Anglers will officially be able to catch Chinook salmon.

The rules for catching are as follows, from the WDFW:

Minimum size is 12 inches, daily limit including no more than one adult. Release all Salmon other than hatchery Chinook.

Must stop fishing when adult limit is retained.

Barbless hooks required.

Night closure in effect.
