Colfax softball walk off on senior night

COLFAX – The Colfax Bulldogs defeated the Asotin Panthers in straight games, 9-3, 13-12.

The games were played on Tuesday, May 7, in Colfax.

Colfax recognized their softball seniors between games.

The first game saw the Bulldogs score two runs in both the first inning and second innings, as well as four runs in the sixth inning to dominate against the Panthers, winning 9-3.

Gracie Bofto pitched all seven innings played for Colfax. She allowed three runs, all earned, on six hits with two strikeouts and walks.

Colfax had nine hits in game one, led by Harley Hennigar, Ava Swan and Bofto with two each. Hennigar would lead with two RBIs.

Colfax had just one error in the game compared to eight from Asotin, leading the the victory from Colfax.

The second game saw Colfax score in the seventh to win 13-12.

Colfax would score two runs in the bottom of the seventh thanks to an RBI from Hennigar to win the game.

Brenna Gilchrist, Hennigar, Bofto and Isabella Huntley had two hits, as well as Ainsley Imler.

Colfax will now await their final rankings for their place in the district tournament, set to begin Tuesday, May 14.
