Colfax swim team to relocate

COLFAX—The Colfax youth summer swim team will spend their summers in a different town this year.

The local Colfax pool in Schmuck Park is closed for the summer due to renovations to the pool, forcing the swim team to relocate.

According to Darcy Cochran, Colfax swim team head coach, “As of now, the plan is to rent the pool in the town of Garfield for practices.”

Cochran said that there will be round-trip transportation for the kids by bus, and that the County meet, usually held in Colfax during the first week of August, will be in Palouse this year.
