Boys team completed fourth-straight undefeated season

PULLMAN — The Pullman Greyhounds boys tennis program defeated the Clarkston Bantams 6-1, winning the district each year since boys tennis was introduced in Pullman.

Pullman athletic director also announced that the boys tennis team were named academic state champions for the second time in the last three seasons.

Results for the boys match against Clarkston is as follows:

Singles — Mir Park, Pul, def. Cole McKenzie 6-4, 6-4; Reed Newell, Pul, def. Haven Morfin 7-5, 6-2; Nathan Sutton, Pul, def. Logan McKarcher 6-0, 6-0; Svanik Bose, Pul, def. Brandon Liedke 6-0, 6-0.

Doubles — Aditya Bose-Bandyopadhyay/Benjamin Lee, Pul, def. Alex Whittle/Cody Whittle 7-6 (6), 7-5; Xander VanTine/Espen Williams, Pul, def. Neal Wang/Caleb Snider 6-1, 6-2; Daniel Schertenleib/Lysander Elgar, Pul, def. Chase Meyer/Hudson Frost 6-2, 6-4.

For the girls, they were bested by Clarkston, 4-3, with Clarkston taking home the district title.

Results for the girls matches are as follows:

Singles — Diana Gutierrez, Pul, def. Gabie Mills 6-0, 6-2; Amy Fugh, Pul, def. Daniella Lucas 6-0, 7-5; Rachel Gall, Clk, def. Naomi Carter 6-4, 6-0; Johanna Mueller, Pul, def. Kendall Wallace 6-2, 6-3.

Doubles — Olivia Gustafson/Ella Leavitt, Clk, def. Lynnsey Biorn/Jasmine Thapa 6-3, 6-3; Eloise Teasley/Kayla Frei, Clk, def. Daun Park/Vivien Lin 6-2, 6-2; Ella Ogden/Presley Dempsey, Clk, def. Azriah Seeber/Lyneth Calderon 6-4, 6-1.
