Cheryl Anne McCoskey

Cheryl Anne McCoskey of Garfield, Washington passed away on May 13, 2024.

She was born in 1955, and is survived by her sisters Sue, Janice, and Cindy; her children Jacob and Jessie; and her grandchildren Miya, Trentin, Maddox and Cullen. Cheryl's husband Jeff, passed away in 2022.

Cheryl, affectionately called Sherrie by many, grew up in Chicago, Ill. She then moved to Moscow, Idaho, finally settling in Garfield, Wash.

Cheryl was a nurse for over 30 years. She worked in both nursing homes and assisted living facilities, mentoring many nurses throughout her career.

She had many passions, including gardening, oil painting, hiking, backpacking, and listening to blues music. She was often seen with a stash of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a mug of coffee during her backpacking trips. Cheryl's green thumb was as green as that of anyone we know, and she was often found outside in her beautiful gardens. Cheryl was a funny, smart, and kind person, and will be greatly missed.
