INVITATION FOR BIDS
NOTICED IS HEREBY GIVEN
That the City of Tekoa will open sealed bid proposals and publicly read them aloud on or after 2:00 PM. on June 10th, 2024, at City Hall in Tekoa for the Willard Field Airport Runway
Rehabilitation.
The project consists of the pulverization and reshaping of approximately 10,185 square yards of existing runway asphalt; grading and shaping of approximately 10,185 square yards of pulverized material, 400 cubic yards of roadway excavation, including haul; installation of approximately 2,550 tons of HMA; striping of the runway and apron-runway connectors.

All contractors must be licensed to conduct business in Washington State. Sealed bid proposals must be delivered to the City of Tekoa (by mail at PO Box 927, Tekoa, WA 99033; or in person delivery to 419 Washington Street, Tekoa, WA 99033) by 2:00 PM on the date specified for opening, in a sealed envelope clearly marked “SEALED BID FOR WILLARD FIELD AIRPORT RUNWAY REHABILITATION”. In person acceptance of delivered bids will be available during posted City Hall hours.
SEALED BID PROPOSALS MUST BE DELIVERED BEFORE 2:00 P.M.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount
of such bid proposal. All bidders are required to submit a list of subcontractors that will perform work on the project amounting to ten percent (10%) or more of the contract amount.
Rejection of Bids: The City of Tekoa shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding document or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular. The City of Tekoa shall have the right to reject all bids and not award the Work to any bidder.
The City retains the right to reject any and all bids, the right to waive any and all informalities in the bidding, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or conditional
proposals.

submit bids. All work performed on the project will be subject to prevailing wage rates.
Award of the construction contract is contingent upon approval by the funding agency.
