One injured in airborne crash

FARMINGTON — One person was injured in a car crash in the late afternoon of Thursday, May 23.

Reports say Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the one-vehicle crash on Farmington Road near Milepost 8 at approximately 5:52 p.m.

Deputies say the driver was heading Southbound and went off the road side-swiped a power pole.

The vehicle then went through a ditch and struck a driveway embankment, launching the car into the air.

The vehicle came to rest on its wheels. The driver was flown to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
