Promises

Landowners of Whitman County, be aware of enticing offers that Harvest Hills/Steelhead Americas is making to get access to your land for the Kamiak Butte area industrial wind project. You need to realize that they will sell the entire project after completion, they are not long-term partners. You are simply a tool they are using to tap into the billions of dollars of green money (taxpayer money) sprinkled about by the government.

Keep in mind, they promise to “restore” the land after the lifespan of the project. There are major flaws with that promise according to Harvest Hills own literature. They will only remove the top four feet of the massive concrete pedestals that will be up to 18 feet deep in the ground. The underground cable infrastructure will remain buried in place. And then there’s the roads that will be built to handle large mega-loads on your property. These things permanently alter your soil and its ability to produce for future generations. Is this what you truly want for your legacy?

Harvest Hills/Steelhead Americas and Vestas, their Danish owner, are simply corporate carpet baggers coming into Whitman County to grab the money. They don’t give a rip about you and your family and the land, they’re only in it for the short term and money. Please don’t lower yourself to their level. Think of your neighbors, your legacy and the damage this will bring to our beautiful Palouse if you allow this to go through.

Pullman
