Serving Whitman County since 1877
COLFAX - Long time residents Tony and Amanda Talley are starting their own plumbing business in Colfax called Cobra Drains Services Company.
The Talleys have lived in Colfax for almost 20 years. "He's been in the plumbing and mainline business for years," Amanda Talley said.
The Talleys have been obtaining their business licenses and are excited to serve Colfax and Whitman County.
"We're excited to be a service that can be counted on," said Tony, adding that Cobra Drains Services Company will do mainlines, drainlines and also sewer line inspections.
"We snake drains, so it goes hand in hand," Tony said of the business name.
Tony was a former service for Hilliards Heating and Plumbing, located in Pullman, for nine years, and spent 11 months helping a friend with his business in Spokane.
"We want to do this on our own and in our hometown. He's the muscle and I'm the business office manager," said Amanda, adding that she will answer the phone calls, and tell him where his next job is.
Amanda has worked as a receptionist at the Whitman Hospital and Medical Clinics for four years, and in customer service at Rosauers off and on.
The Talleys are operating their business from home while looking around for a place to open shop, and are hoping their boys will get involved. "They do like to help once in a while," said Amanda.
The business is set to open in July, and the Talleys plan to have a barbecue with a date to be determined the first of the month.
"We'll have a raffle for some pretty decent prizes," Tony said, "We've been coming up with some cool stuff."
Tony Talley said that Cobra Drain Services also works in conjunction with a restoration company. "Jason at Restoration One, they're based out of Spokane but they do serve the greater Whitman County area," he said.
The Talleys said they really like helping people and working for Colfax and Whitman County, "We are excited to see what the future holds for us," Amanda said.
