Palouse COVE ROAD CURB AND STORMWATER PROJECT

CITY OF PALOUSE

Sealed bids for construction of Palouse Cove Road Curb and Stormwater Project will be received by the City of Palouse at the office of City Hall located at East 120 Main Street, Palouse, Washington until 2:00 p.m. local time on June 19th, 2024, and then publicly opened and read aloud.

Palouse COVE ROAD CURB AND STROMWATER PROJECT

The project consists of: Installing 780 linear feet of 8” SDR storm pipe, 6 catch basins, and 830 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter. Curb & gutter will begin at the existing ADA ramp at the intersection of SR 27 and Palouse Cove Rd. and continuing approximately 800 linear feet along the SW side of Palouse Cove Rd. extending to the existing curb & gutter. Three driveway entrances are located along the alignment and will require depressed curbs for access.

Bids will be opened publicly at the Palouse City Hall at 2:00 p.m. local time on June 19th, 2024 and read aloud. Bids received after the aforementioned time will not be considered.

There will be no pre-bid meeting.

Bid documents may be obtained at the office of TD&H Engineering 210 MAIN ST, LEWISTON, ID 83501 in accordance with Article 2.01 of Instructions To Bidders. Required deposit is $ 75.00 per set, which is not refundable. The Bid Submittal must include the purchased Project Manual in its entirety. Bid Documents are available for review at the following locations:

Questions shall be referred to the Engineer, Richard Utzman, TD&H Engineering, Inc. in writing at 210 Main Street, Lewiston, ID. 83501 or rich.utzman@tdhengineering.com.

All work must be completed within 20 working days from the notice to proceed. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000.00 per day.

A current Public Works Contractor’s License for the State of Washington is required to bid on this work. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the project bidding and contract requirements and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the base bid. Bid Bond Shall be in the form of Cash, Cashier’s Check, Certified Check or Bidder’s Bond executed by a qualified surety company, any of which shall be made payable to the City of Palouse.

The city of Palouse is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. Small, minority and women owned businesses are encouraged to submit bids. All work performed on the project will be subject to the higher of prevailing state or federal Davis-Bacon wage rates. This project is (funded/partially funded) through the Washington State Public Works Board program with state funds.

The City of Palouse may, by resolution, reject any and all bids and make further calls for bids in the same manner as the original call. The City also reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids received. Award of the Contract will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.

No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set forth for the opening thereof, unless the award of Contract is delayed more than thirty (30) days.
