Fugitive, fiancé, daughter missing

Fugitive believed to have fled to Mexico

PULLMAN — Multiple agencies across the nation are searching for a man who is believed to have fled to Mexico with his daughter after violating a parenting plan.

The Pullman Police Department issued a warrant Wednesday, June 5, for the arrest of Aaron Daniel Aung, 21, of Moscow, Idaho, for Custodial Interference in the first degree.

Aung violated a Latah County District Court parenting plan involving custody of his daughter, Seraya Aung Harmon, 2, with the child’s mother Samara Harmon, of Pullman .

Aung is 5’ 9” tall and approximately 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The Pullman Police Department is working with the Moscow Police Department, the FBI and several other agencies from Washington State to Montana.

“It is an active investigation. We are following up on any tips that are coming to the Pullman Police Department. We will follow up. Because this has expanded into multiple states, we have been working with the FBI and agencies in other states and we have been coordinating with them,” said Pullman Police Department Operations Commander Aaron Breshears.

Reports say Seraya was last seen with Aung on Wednesday, May 29. The father-daughter pair were believed to have traveled to Montana on a fishing trip.

“We were given information that they reportedly went to Montana to go fishing, and whether they made it or not remains to be seen,” said Breshears.

According to a press release from the Pullman Police Department, investigators initially thought Aung had traveled to Montana because he was seen buying camping gear and a Montana map book in Moscow.

Reports say Aung is traveling with Nadia Cole, 21, of Port Angeles, Wash. Cole was reported missing to the Port of Seattle Police Department on Tuesday, May 28.

Cole recently graduated from Washington State University (WSU) and was engaged to Aung.

She disappeared from Seattle International Airport the same day Aung and Seraya went missing from Moscow, Idaho.

“The totality of the circumstance leaves us to believe that Nadia is traveling with Aaron,” Breshears said.

According to the Pullman Police Department, Aung and Cole likely traveled to Mexico in a black 2014 Cadillac XTS with Idaho license 1L5147U.

According to the custody agreement, Seraya was scheduled to return to her mother, Samara Harmon, in Pullman on Monday, June 3.

Anyone with information about Seraya’s location is asked to call the Pullman Police Department or their local law enforcement agency.
