Whitman County health organizations receive grants

COLFAX — The Lewis-Clark Healthcare Foundation awarded two Whitman County organizations funds from its Fast-Track Grants.

The Pullman Community Council on Aging, Pullman, received $4,860 towards the well-being and need of Seniors and Whitman County Public Health received $10,000 for the Whitman County Community Clinic.

The Fast-Track grant is a quick turnaround grant of $2,500 to $10,000 intended for small health and wellness focused nonprofits with annual operating budgets of under $250,000 that serve rural communities.

“The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation continues to support efforts and organizations that promote health, wellness and prevent disease by awarded $97,355 in small Fast-Track Grants to 12 area organizations during its second round of Fast Track Grants,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Wealth Management Officer of Idaho Trust Bank, Trustee of the Foundation Desiree Prohaska.

The Lewis-Clark Valley Healthcare Foundation serves a three-state, nine-county area including Clearwater, Idaho., Latah, Lewis and Nez Perce; Asotin, Garfield and Whitman in Washington, and Wallowa in Oregon.
