William "Bill" Fred Heiser

Dec. 14, 1943 - June 1, 2024

William "Bill" Fred Heiser of Colfax, Wash., unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, June 1, while at one of his favorite places; on his houseboat (the Final Act) at Boyer Park and Marina.

He was born December 14, 1943, in Helena, Mont., to Ruth and Fred. He was a graduate of Cut Bank High School, Montana in 1962. And served in the National Guard in Shelby, Mont., and Vancouver, Wash.

Bill was an incredible, kind, easy-going, and loving man; and an amazing Dad and Grandpa. He was so fun to be around. His personality, quick-wit, sense of humor, and repeated stories were enjoyed by those around him. Every chance he could, he loved to spend time on his houseboat. He loved to tinker and fix things, and his project list always seemed endless. He also enjoyed watching and feeding the squirrels. In years past, he enjoyed putting countless miles on his motorcycles and RVs. And most recently, he celebrated and enjoyed his 80th Birthday in Cabo, Mexico; parasailing, deep-sea fishing, and ATVing.

He was dearly loved and will be so sadly missed by his long-time partner Sherry Farmer-Larsen; his sister Donna Spencer and her family; his children Doug Heiser (Kim Wanner), Rhonda (Johnny) Korenkiewicz, and Mark (Lisa) Heiser; his grandchildren Jordan, Mandie, Brandon, Dylan, Kara, Nathan, and Samantha; his great-grandson Declan; Sherry's children Brian (Lorna) Houston, Darcie (Jeff) Houston-Tennyson, Sumerlin (Rich) Lesperance, and Serena Larsen; her grandchildren Landry, Helen, and Grace; her great-granddaughter Adalina; other relatives, many friends, neighbors, and past co-workers (at the City of Colfax's Water Department and Framatome (formerly Exxon Nuclear) in the Tri Cities).

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, family and friends are invited to celebrate Bill and his life at Boyer Park and Marina (1753 Granite Rd, Colfax, WA 99111) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
