Carol Christine Jorstad, 92, of Pullman, Wash., passed away June 6, 2024, at the Memory Villas at Bishop Place in Pullman.
Carol was born August 17, 1931 in Colton, Wash., to Joseph & Beatrice (Meyer) Busch. She grew up in Colton and later graduated from Mary Cliff Catholic High School in Spokane, Wash. She married Morris Kopf in April of 1950. They moved to the family farm in 1952, operating the farm until 1962. Carol and Morris later divorced and she moved to Pullman.
Carol married Sigvart "Sig" Jorstad in 1966 and together they made their home in Pullman, where she took great pride in raising the family. Her family was the center of her life and Carol always enjoyed taking her grandchildren to Hawaii through the years.
She enjoyed working with stained glass and traveling on summer vacations with her children and grandchildren and playing Black Jack. Carol even traveled abroad including Mexico, China and a trip to the Panama Canal. Carol was a devoted member of Moose Lodge as well as the Ladies of the Moose. She held different leadership roles through the years.
She is survived by her children Gary Kopf, Dianne Clark, Karen Parvin (Jim), Keith Kopf (Heidi), Roy Kopf, Jody Radomske, Sally Fischer and stepson, Alan Jorstad (Valerie), her sister Juanita Kinzer; 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sig; two grandsons Russell Kopf (Keith) & Chris Papineau (Dianne) and two brothers Bill and Wayne Busch.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pullman, Wash. Interment with her husband Sig will follow at the Pullman City Cemetery, followed by a reception back at the church's Parish Hall.
