Elaine Gayle Crane

Sept. 25, 1949 - June 10, 2024

Elaine Gayle Crane, 74, of Huntington Beach, California, passed away on June 10, 2024, in Garfield, Washington, with her family by her side.

Elaine was born on September 25th, 1949, to Beverly and Thomas Alexander in Long Beach, California. Elaine had three siblings, Sandi, Jeanette and Wally.

In 1987 Elaine married the love of her life Ron Crane. Ron and Elaine began their marriage in their hometown of Huntington Beach, California, where they would raise their children. Elaine was so proud that she had found the perfect father to help raise her children.

A few of Elaine's favorite things in life were her family, good friends, and the beach. Elaine's children and grandchildren were one of her biggest accomplishments in life, she was always so proud to share their great accomplishments with anyone who wanted to listen. Her family truly meant the world to her.

In July of 2023, Elaine's daughter Amanda made the decision to move Elaine to her home in Garfield, Washington, due to some health concerns that required family to be close by. Elaine grew to love the small town of Garfield Washington. When taking a drive Elaine would make comments of "it is so beautiful here, you guys are just so used to it". Elaine also got to see the small Palouse little winter storms, which was plentiful for her, as she was not a fan of the cold, but loved to see the snow fall from inside the warm house. Elaine spent her last Christmas with her family, which she had not been able to do for years. She loved all the Christmas decorations, especially the flocked Christmas tree.

Elaine spent her last four months at LaDow Court Assisted Living. The family is very grateful for the loving and compassionate care the staff have provided during this hard time.

Elaine is survived by her sister Sandi Sinclair of Carmel, California, her son Shane Gibson of Huntington Beach, California, Daughter Amanda (Jason) Bankus of Garfield, Washington, Granddaughter Brooke (Justin) Bankus of Moscow, Idaho, Grandson Kyle Bankus of Moscow, Idaho. Elaine is proceeded in death by her amazing and loving husband Ron Crane, Mom Beverly Alexander, Father Thomas Alexander, Sister Jeanette Alexander, and Brother Wally Alexander.

The family would like to again thank the staff at LaDow Court Assisted Living for welcoming Elaine with open arms and caring for her with such grace, compassion and kindness. It was true ease to know she was in great hands when we were not with her.

There will be no service at this time. Elaine's wishes were no service, but for her family to take her ashes to sea. Donations or flowers in Elaine's memory can be sent to LaDow Court Assisted Living, PO Box 368, Garfield, WA 99130.
