Pullman man injured in car crash

Not wearing seatbelt, transfered by air ambulance

PULLMAN — Idaho State Police are investigating a crash involving a Pullman man that occurred in Shoshone County at 2:54 p.m. on Friday, June 21.

The crash happened on State Highway 3 near milepost 53.

Reports say a 19-year-old male from Saint Maries, Idaho, driving a grey 2019 Toyota Tacoma, was involved in a rollover collision with a 32-year-old male from Pullman, driving a grey 2013 Chevrolet Equinox.

The Pullman driver was not wearing their seatbelt, sustained critical injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a local hospital.

The other driver was uninjured and wearing a seatbelt.

Traffic on US 95 was blocked in both directions for approximately 1.5 hours to allow emergency responders to assist those involved.

Reports say after approximately 1.5 hours, traffic was diverted along an alternate route.

The roadway was reopened for traffic approximately 3 hours after the crash occurred.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

As of press time, the Idaho State Police of District 1 have not released the names of those involved with the crash.
