Serving Whitman County since 1877
TEKOA — Whitman County Public Health is expanding its program this year to offer free swim lessons for Whitman County residents.
The towns where swim lessons will be offered are Garfield, LaCrosse, Oakesdale, Palouse, Pullman (income based), Rosalia and Tekoa. Pullman swim lessons are for Pullman residents only.
Whitman County Public Health will also cover the costs of the “Baby and Me” swim lessons through the Whitman County Hospital and Medical Center
For residents to sign up for the free lessons, they will need to contact the Tekoa pool. Whitman County Public Health will only be able to cover one session of swim lessons per child. If a parent wants to sign up their child for a second session, they will be required to play for the second session.
Whitman County Public Health will only be able to cover the cost of swim lessons for Whitman County residents.
