MOSCOW — The Humane Society of the Palouse (HSOP) will hold a cornhole tournament and silent auction benefiting lost and homeless pets in the area at the Moscow Moose Lodge on Saturday, July 20.
Registration opens at 10 a.m. with the tournament starting at 11:30 a.m. Round robin games will determine whether a team is placed in the “pro” or “backyard” brackets for the remainder of the tournament.
“This family-friendly event offers fun and light-hearted competition, community spirit and exciting auction items, all in support of lost and homeless pets,” Public Relations Manager for HSOP Lauren Green said in a press release. “In addition to the cornhole tournament, attendees can explore and place their bids on a wide variety of silent auction items, with all proceeds directly benefiting HSOP.”
The press release also states that, “Women of the Moose will have tasty food available upstairs (of the Moscow Moose Lodge), with drink specials downstairs to benefit HSOP even further. Whether you’re a seasoned cornhole player or just looking for a fun activity with the family, ‘Cornhole for Animals’ offers something for everyone.”
Those wishing to contribute to the silent auction can email Green at outreach@humanesocietyofthepalouse.org. To register a team of two players, text Jeremy at (208) 310-3595.
