Herman "Lloyd" Kelley

Sept. 2, 1932 - July 1, 2024

Herman "Lloyd" Kelley, 91, of Cheney, Washington, was called home to be with our Lord on July 1, 2024. He was born in Wilson, Oklahoma, on Sept. 2, 1932, to Ruby Inez Wall (Kelley) and Paul Clinton Kelley.

Herman was preceded in death by his beloved wife Eva Dell Kelley, also a Twin brother Wylie "Floyd" Kelley, a younger brother Roy Lee Kelley, and stepson Billy Carroll Coleman. Survivors include his sister Leona "Fay" Herbert (husband William "Keno" Herbert), sister in-law Cathy Kelley; two daughters, Susan Gail Kane (husband Lee) and Judy Pauline Mooneyhan (husband Arthur); his three stepchildren Betty "June" May, Gary Lynn Coleman, and Linda Joyce Smith (husband Eric). As well as many grandkids, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Herman was a veteran that served in the Army during the Korean and Vietnam war. He was a hard-working man that retired from the Kern County Roads Department in California. He was an honest, loving, and warm-spirited human being filled with Joy and Laughter. Herman was a great example of what a man should be. For those of us that knew him, we were truly blessed! His hobbies included, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and a weekend ritual good game of aggravation. He enjoyed anything Western such as movies, reading novels, and listening to his talking books . Herman never met a stranger, and for all that met him were taken in by his charm and charisma. He left a mark on this Earth that will never be forgotten. For this is not good-bye but a see you later!

Chapel service and Military Honors were held at Cheney Funeral Home at 1632 West First Street Cheney. Viewing from 12 to 12:30 p.m. Closed casket service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, with Bishop Aubery Reed Jr. officiating.
