COLFAX — Whitman County District Court reported the following criminal conviction sentences from July 12:

Amanda Long pled guilty driving with license suspended first degree and an ignition interlock violation. Therefore the defendant is adjudged guilty and sentenced to 364 days of jail, 354 suspended and waived fines. The defendant must serve a total of 10 days in jail with credit for 5 days served. Defendant must have no criminal violation of law and not drive a motor vehicle without a valid license and proof of insurance. The defendant has supervised probation for 24 months, unsupervised probation as soon as all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed. Probation to terminate upon reinstatement of driver’s license. Probation shall confirm jail served for purposes of credit for time served. If Defendant does not report to jail to serve balance of jail within 45 days, a warrant shall issue for her arrest. Probation shall transfer to unsupervised immediately upon serving jail time.
John Adam Nause was found guilty of driving under the influence and therefore, is sentenced to 364 days of jail with 0 days suspended and no fines. The defendant must serve a total of 364 days in jail with credit for 50 days served. Jail shall be arranged by the probation department. The defendant shall not drive a motor vehicle without a valid license or insurance, with an alcohol concentration of .08 or more or a THC concentration of 5.00 nanograms per milliliter of whole blood or higher, within two hours after driving. The defendant can’t drive a car without a functioning ignition interlock device as required by the Department of Licensing. No criminal violation of law or alcohol related infractions. Defendant must comply with the rules and requirements of the Department of Licensing regarding the installation and use of a functioning ignition interlock device. Defendant has supervised probation for 60 months, unsupervised for last 24 months and must obtain a substance use disorder evaluation and an expanded alcohol assessment from a Washington State approved agency with filed copies by Aug. 16. Defendant must attend a DUI Victim Impact Panel within 3 months, not sue substances. The defendant’s privilege to drive in the State of Washington shall be suspended for 2 years. Probation shall meet with probation soon as possible to discuss a plan to be implemented to assure the Court Mr. Nause does not present a danger to the community. The plan should address both evaluation, recommended treatment and substantial alcohol monitoring. Defendant may apply for termination of probation after completing all obligations and if circumstances are warranted.
Jack Fowler was found guilty of patronizing a prostitute, therefore is sentenced to a deferred sentence for 12 months. The defendant has 90 days of jail, 90 suspended and a fine of $1000, $500 suspended. The defendant has a total of $843 in fines, supervised probation for 12 months, unsupervised as soon as all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed and if payment of fines is completed. Defendant shall meet with probation to discuss an education program on the topic of the detrimental aspect of human and sex trafficking/industry.
Trisha Sims was found guilty of 3rd degree theft, therefore is sentenced for 12 months, 30 days of jail, 29 suspended and waived fines. The defendant must serve 1 day in jail with credit for 0 days served. 1 day in jail is convertible to 12 hours community service within 60 days. Jail shall be arranged by the probation department and completed by the defendant within 60 days. The defendant must have no criminal violations of law, supervised probation for 12 months, unsupervised for last 6 months if all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed.
