Palouse sees another year of Music Festival fun

PALOUSE - Music filled the park, Saturday, July 27 in Palouse as another year of the Palouse Musical Festival brought local talent to serenade event-goers.

The Range Benders did a spirited cover of The Alman Brother's Band 'Soulshine,' and many members of the crowd got up to dance along.

Pullman High School student Cora Miskin sang several original songs.

Miskin has played at Palouse Music Festival several years and puts videos of playing her original music on Instagram under the handle coralynee.music.

The event was headlined by Tone Sober, who sang several original songs and a cover of Alice in Chains, 'Man in a Box.'

Other bands that performed during the day included Jens Hegg a folk and blues band; Smith & Reilly an Americana band; The Chelseas an acoustic folk band and Floating Crowbar a traditional Irish band.

"What a fantastic day in the park at the Palouse Music Festival," states a Facebook post by co-sponsor Palouse Arts Council, "Thanks to all the folks who came out to listen to some great music. Also thanks to all the volunteers who help put this show together."
