Patricia "Pat" Smith

Patricia "Pat" Smith passed away on July 16, 2024, in Spokane, Wash.

Patricia Smith the daughter of Vernon and Esther Schafer was born on April 23, 1948. She graduated from Washtucna High School in 1966 and then attended Business School in the Seattle Area.

She had many interests over her lifetime such as horses, skiing, doll making, and traveling just to name a few. Patricia loved animals. Patricia raised her daughter in a loving home and taught her to be an independent and thoughtful adult. Patricia married her second husband Dennis Smith in April of 1990.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis in January 2024. Her parents Vernon and Esther Schafer also preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving daughter Verna Dolman, grandson Tyler Dolman, brother Kim (Judy) Schafer, sister Nancy (Michael) Ross, and many relatives.

A graveside service will be held on August 24, 2024, at the Pioneer Memorial Cemetery, Washtucna, Wash., at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Patricia's life is to follow at the Washtucna Grange Hall. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Alzheimer's research in her name.
