Antique motocross races coming to Rockford

Post Vintage and Next Generation races now offered at the event

ROCKFORD - Rattlers Run Farms in Fairfield, Wash., will host a vintage motocross race on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 14-15.

The day before, on Friday, Sept. 13, Mike Allen's trials school will also be offered at 4 p.m. Trials for the race will start Saturday with sign ups at 9 a.m., riders meeting at 10:45 a.m. and races beginning 11 a.m. Motocross early sign up and tech inspection will be at 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.

On Sunday, practice will be from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. with the rider meeting at 9:30 a.m. The first motocross race will begin at 9:45 a.m.

The race will now offer Post Vintage and Next Generation bikes after the vintage races. All bikes and classes, acceptable by the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) will be run.

All riders need to be AHRMA members and at least 16 years old. Riders under 18 need a parent or guardian's signature in order to race. Membership can be acquired at ahrma.org and pre-registration is at motorsportreg.com. Door prizes will be available for those that pre-register. Registration ends Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 9 a.m.

Riders must provide their personal medical insurance company and policy member, as required by the AHRMA.

The location of the event will be at 13910 E Rattlers Run Rd, Fairfield, Wash.
