Serving Whitman County since 1877

Embracing the adventure ahead

Hello, Whitman County! After a brief hiatus, during which I had the opportunity to temporarily take over as editor for the Lincoln County Record-Times in Davenport, I am excited to be back and reconnect with the community.

As I step into what promises to be a transformative time in my life, I find myself on the brink of one of the most significant milestones yet—graduation.

This final semester at the University of Idaho has arrived, and with it comes the thrilling and slightly daunting task of what the millennials like to call “adulting.”

The journey to this point has been filled with lessons, challenges and countless moments of growth.

Now, as I return to Whitman County, I am not just back in the newsroom; I am back with a fresh perspective, ready to dive into the stories that matter most to you.

But let’s be real—this time is also about figuring out what comes next. It’s about stepping into the unknown, finding my rhythm, and discovering what kind of adult I will be.

School has been an adventure, and it is strange to think that it’s all leading to this moment of transition. There is something exhilarating about the uncertainty of it all—what will the future hold? Where will I land? It is a time of endless possibilities, and while the road ahead is uncharted, it is also full of potential.

So, as I navigate these final months of college life, balancing deadlines with dreams, I am thrilled to be back in Whitman County, where the familiar faces and stories provide a comforting backdrop to this whirlwind of change.

Here is to the adventures ahead, both big and small, and to embracing the ride—wherever it may lead!
