Hospital RV park to get hydroseeded late September

Hospital board trying to actively upgrade park

COLFAX — The Whitman Hospital and Medical Clinics Board of Commissioners discussed upcoming hydroseeding for the RV park at the Wednesday, Aug. 21, meeting.

Board President Georgie Leinweber updated the board on building and grounds, reporting that the hillside of the RV park will be hydroseed in late September.

The RV park is is designated for Whitman Hospital and Medical Clinics (WHMC) employees, agency staff, patients and the patients family while they are in the hospital.

Reservations are required to stay and stays are limited to 16 weeks, requiring customers to reapply and ATV’s or similar vehicles are not permitted to use on the property.

The park has varying prices for employees ranging from a day to a month and a price for an agency or contracted staff.

Patients, their families and staff required to be on call have no cost to stay at the park.

General conduct includes not making alterations to the electric, water or sewer connections provided; no disruptive behavior; United States and Washington State Flags are the only flags permitted.

Customers are asked to clean up their areas and will face a fine if the area is left unacceptable.

The only guests allowed are authorized ones listed on the information form, as well as pets that are declared on the informational form.

Destruction of the property will have to be paid for by customers and fireworks are not allowed on the property.

Alcohol is not allowed on the WHMC campus or any other recreational or illicit drugs and the campus is a tobacco-free campus, according to the hospital’s website.

The Whitman Hospital and Medical Clinics Board of Commissioners are actively making plans on the upgrading of the RV Park.
