COLFAX - New teachers introduced themselves to Colfax School District Board members at the district school board meeting Aug. 26.
Emily Bopp, the new Kindergarten through 12 grade choir teacher introduced herself first.
Bopp originally from Spokane, said she moved to Pullman after finishing her Master's Degree in Musicology.
"The elementary went great today," Bopp told board members.
Kindel Evanoff, the new Transitional Kindergarten teacher stood up to introduce herself as the second new hire for the Bulldogs staff.
"I helped Jill last year as a Para(educator) and I got pretty familiar with Colfax," Evanoff said, noting she was able to learn about the school's culture.
Transitional Kindergarten is starting on Thursday, Aug. 29.
"I met some of them and today it was a lot of fun," Evanoff said.
Christine Schroder, the new math teacher at the Junior/Senior High School, said she was born and raised in Iowa.
"Field of Dreams, if you know that movie, that's my hometown," she said, adding her parents and family still live out there.
Schroder met her husband in college, then moved to Nebraska and Pennsylvania to study.
"Now he's working at WSU." Schroder said, noting they do not have to move anymore.
