Civil Service Commission meet

Discuss new job announcements

PULLMAN — The Civil Service Commission convened for a special meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 8 a.m. in the City of Pullman Council Chambers.

Commission Chair Nathan Deen led the session, and Commissioner Milford Hodge was present.

The meeting occurred after press time, and outcomes will be reported in another publication of the Whitman County Gazette.

The Sept. 4 agenda includes considering and approving several new job announcements.

The Commission will review and vote on the Fire Lieutenant Internal Promotional Process and Job Announcement, the Code Enforcement Job Announcement, and the Firefighter/Paramedic Job Announcement.

This meeting follows a special session held on Friday, Aug. 16, where the Commission addressed several important issues.

The meeting began at 8:02 a.m., and both Commissioners Deen and Hodge voted in favor of the minutes from the July 26 meeting.

The Commission also approved the Police Officer Eligibility List, the Firefighter/Paramedic Lateral Eligibility List, and the Firefighter/Paramedic Entry-Level Eligibility List.

All motions passed without discussion.

No public comments are anticipated for the upcoming meeting and no additional old business is listed.
