Garfield-Palouse falls to Liberty Christian

It was Willy Wolterings first game back as head coach

PALOUSE — The Garfield-Palouse Vikings lost the first game of the season under (somewhat) new Head Coach Willy Woltering.

Woltering is back as headman of the Vikings after a number of years away from the gridiron.

The Vikings struck first as Lane Collier punched in a 3-yard run in the first quarter, but Liberty Christian answered back with a 3-yard run by Perry Pottle and a 30-yard run by Charlie Branning.

Each team scored twice in the second quarter with Ryker Wageman scoring on a 37-yard pass and Joey Esley getting a 19-yard touchdown pass, each from Pottle. Gar-Pal’s Kaleb Kelnhofer scored...
