NOTICE OF PUBLIC

MEETING

Pullman Register of Historic Places Nomination

Gould House

NOTICE is hereby given that the Pullman Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) will hold a public meeting on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. to consider the nomination of the Gould House for inclusion in the Pullman Register of Historic Places (“Register”). The meeting will take place in Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 190 SE Crestview Street, Building A. The Gould House is located at 920 NE D Street.

The nomination form in this case was prepared by Berit Davis of the College Hill Association. The nomination materials indicate that the original structure was constructed in 1932. The nomination documents state that the building meets the criteria for listing on the Register due to its age, distinctive characteristics, special elements of the City’s history, and ties to significant persons.

When a request of this nature is submitted, the HPC is required by city code to conduct a public meeting to consider the merits of the nomination and determine whether or not to list the property on the Register based on criteria set forth in said code. At the public meeting, the HPC will accept public comment on the nomination and decide to approve or deny the proposal. All interested persons are encouraged to provide comment, either by submitting written comments regarding this nomination to the Community Development Department at the address shown below; by email to ariel.medeiros@pullman-wa.gov prior to the public meeting; by appearing at the public meeting and speaking with respect to the proposed listing; or by presenting written statements during the meeting. Please be advised that oral comments at the meeting may be subject to a time limit.

Pertinent documents related to this matter are available for public review at the Community Development Department at City Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Pullman City Hall is accessible for persons with disabilities; please inform the Community Development Department if you will need any special accommodations to attend the meeting.
