Pullman Greyhound football falls to West Valley

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A rough second half sealed the Greyhounds fate as Pullman dropped a conference game, 39-10, against the West Valley (Spokane) Eagles on Friday, Sept. 27.

Each team scored a touchdown in the first quarter, but the Eagles put up six points in the second quarter and held the Greyhounds scoreless for the remainder of the first half. At halftime, West Valley led, 13-7.

Pullman wouldn’t get on the board again until the fourth quarter when the Greyhounds kicked a field goal. Meanwhile, the Eagles were able to put up an additional 12 on the board in the third, and scored two touchdowns in the fourth to get the win.

A full box score was not available as of press time.

According to MaxPreps, the Greyhounds had 165 rushing yards and 83 passing yards for 248 total yards in the game. West Valley put up 443 total yards on 200 passing and 243 rushing.

The Greyhounds fall to 0-4 on the season and 0-2 in league play. Next up, Pullman faces a league matchup against East Valley at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, in Pullman.
