Cherie Virginia Zehm (née Cruver), born on January 18, 1953, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones in Oakesdale, Wash. Cherie was the beloved wife of Paul Zehm for 37 years and a devoted mother to her two children, Steve Lane and Jessica See. She will be deeply missed by her children, their spouses Manuel and Patrick, and her cherished grandson, Alexander. Cherie is also survived by her brother, Patrick Cruver, and her nephews; Micah and Emmett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Virginia Cruver; and her nephew, Tye Cruver.

Cherie was passionate about bird rescue, an accomplished artist known for her jewelry making, and had a profound love for music and archaeology. Her adventurous and creative spirit always gave her a story to share.

A proud Episcopalian, Cherie touched the lives of many with her loving, quirky personality. She was known for her generosity and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Cherie's legacy of kindness and creativity will continue to resonate with everyone who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at Palouse Federated Church in Palouse, Wash., on Saturday, November 2nd, at 1 p.m., with Chaplain Linda Webster officiating.
