Pullman volleyball is on a hot streak

PULLMAN — The Pullman Greyhounds volleyball team went 3-0 last week and won four in a row as the season is reaching the finish line.

The Greyhounds began the week with a five-set thriller against cross-state rivals the Moscow Bears on Monday, Oct. 14, in Pullman. The Greyhounds won the match, 3-2, taking the first two sets, dropping the next two and winning the fifth. Set scores were 25-14, 25-16, 14-25, 22-25 and 15-8.

Pullman’s Camber Wolfe led the Greyhounds with 50 assists, Ella Forster had 15 kills and Kitty Keane added 17 digs.

The Greyhounds went on to defeat the North Central Wolfpack, 3-0, in a home match on Tuesday, Oct. 15. Set scores were 25-17, 25-8 and 25-19.

Wolfe notched 37 assists, Jasmyne Washington had a team-high 14 kills and Kate Armstrong notched 11 digs.

Rounding out the week, the Greyhounds traveled to Spokane and defeated Rogers, 3-0, on Thursday, Oct. 17. Set scores were 25-17, 25-8 and 25-17.

Wolfe led the team with 31 assists, Forster had 19 kills and Armstrong added 11 digs.

Pullman moved to 9-6 on the season and 6-3 in league play. The team played its final home match of the season against East Valley on Tuesday, Oct. 22, after press time.

The Greyhounds will finish the regular season with away matches against the Clarkston Bantams today, Thursday, Oct. 24, and the Deer Park Stags on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
