Timberwolves celebrates seniors

TEKOA - During halftime of the Tekoa-Rosalia football game against Dayton on Friday, Oct. 18, the Timberwolves seniors were honored.

There are 10 seniors who were recognized, who participate in football, volleyball and cheerleading.

Libby Lehn

Libby Lehn participates in both volleyball and cheerleading for the fall sports season. Lehn has been playing volleyball since the second grade and plans on attending college after graduation.

Lehn wrote that she never thought she would be a cheerleader, but ended up loving it.

Briley Smith

Briley Smith has played volleyball since the fourth grade and also participates in cheerleading. Smith plans to attend college next year. She wrote that cheer has taught her that she has her mother's loud voice and that she can handle a full schedule and still have fun.

Denali Chase

Denali Chase is active in both cheerleading and volleyball. She has played volleyball since elementary school and plans to attend the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn., to pursue a degree in the mortuary science program. She hopes to become a funeral director and mortician.

Chase wrote that she has really enjoyed doing halftime dances and being there for her squad when they needed something. She learned that she has a lot of Timberwolf pride and school spirit.

Lulu Taylor

Lulu Taylor participates in both cross country and cheerleading for the fall sports season. This is her first year in Cross Country and wrote that cheer has taught her to be outgoing and how to be extra loud on the sidelines.

Taylor plans on attending Lewis & Clark State College to become a radiology technician and is considering joining the U.S. Coast Guard.

Clare Wilkins

Clare Wilkins has played volleyball since the second grade and also participates in cheerleading. Wilkins wrote that cheer has taught her how to be efficient with time and it has shown her that hard work and determination really pays off.

After graduating, Wilkins plans to attend college to pursue a career in elementary education.

Emma Fuchs

Emma Fuchs is on the volleyball team and has been playing since grade school. Fuchs plans to attend college for criminal justice.

Kliessa Church

Kliessa Church is on the volleyball team and has played the game since sixth grade. Church plans to take some time off school and possibly return later on.

Justina Crane-Whistocken

Justina Crane-Whistocken is on the volleyball team and has played since sixth grade. Crane-Whistocken plans to go to college and pursue a degree in elementary education.

Westley Bryan

Westley Bryan has been playing football for eight years and plans to attend Whitworth to play football and pursue a degree in education.

Jordan Gump

Jordan Gump has played football for one year and wrote that he will follow God's will and plan for his life after high school.
