Conditional Use Permit Application CUP-24-03
Becker Short-Term Rental
NOTICE is hereby given that the Pullman Hearing Examiner will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. to consider Conditional Use Permit Application CUP-24-03. The hearing will be held in virtually; join from PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android: https://meetings.ringcentral.com/j/1496454108.
Case CUP-24-03 involves a request by Rebekah Becker to use a single-family residence for a short-term rental, such as an Airbnb at 635 NW Charlotte Street. Short-term rentals are generally classified as rooming houses for the purposes of the zoning code.
The subject property is located in an R2 Low Density Multi-Family Residential. Rooming houses are considered conditional uses in the R2 zone. Conditional uses are developments that warrant special consideration before being established or altered in a particular area due to their potential impacts on surrounding properties.
All interested persons or their authorized agents are encouraged to appear at the public hearing and testify for or against the proposal. Interested parties may also submit written comments regarding this application to Ariel Medeiros at ariel.medeiros@pullman-wa.gov or at City Hall prior to the public hearing. Please be advised that oral comments at the hearing may be subject to a time limit. At the public hearing, the Hearing Examiner will accept testimony on the proposal and then the matter will be closed for public input. Within 10 working days of the public hearing, the Hearing Examiner will decide to approve, approve subject to conditions, or deny the applicant’s request. The decision will be made available to the public via the City website.
Pertinent documents related to this case are available for public review at the Community Development Department at City Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Pullman City Hall is accessible for persons with disabilities; please inform the Community Development Department if you will need any special accommodations to attend the meeting.
