Zone Change Application No. REZ-24-01
NOTICE is hereby given that the Pullman Planning Commission will hold simultaneous public hearings on Wednesday, November 20, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. to consider Zone Change Application No. REZ-24-01. The hearing will be held in Council Chambers at Pullman City Hall, located at 190 SE Crestview Street, Building A.
Case No. REZ-24-01 involves a request, submitted by Germain Farms, LLC, for a zone designation change from R1 Single-Family Residential and C3 General Commercial to R2 Low Density Multi-Family Residential for a parcel of land approximately 75 acres in size located southeast of the intersection of SW Old Wawawai Road and US Highway 195 on Sunnyside Hill. This proposal also includes a request to amend the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Plan Map from Commercial to Low Density Residential.
R1 Single Family Residential district: provides for single family residences built to a maximum density of seven dwelling units per net acre.
C3 General Commercial district: provides for general commercial uses that are typically dependent upon convenient vehicular access.
R4 High Density Multi-Family Residential district: provides for single family houses, manufactured homes, duplexes, and apartment complexes with a maximum of 44 dwelling units per net acre.
All interested persons or their authorized agents are encouraged to appear at the public hearing to testify for or against this zone change application. Interested parties may also submit written comments to Ariel Medeiros at ariel.medeiros@pullman-wa.gov or at City Hall prior to the public hearing. Please be advised that oral comments at the hearing may be subject to a time limit. At the public hearing, the Planning Commission will accept testimony on the proposal and then recommend to the City Council that the proposed zone change be approved, modified, or denied.
Pertinent documents related to this case are available for public review at the Community Development Department at City Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
