Area athletes move on to State meet
COLFAX - The Garfield-Palouse girls cross country team took second place at the 1B/2B and NEA Regional cross country meet on Friday, Nov. 1.
The Vikings scored 77 team points, with the first-place team, St. George's Dragons, getting 44 points. In cross country, the team with the least amount of points wins.
On the boys side, Colfax took ninth place with 234 points. First place was also St. George's with 57 points.
The top 21 boys and 35 girls qualified for the State cross country meet on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco, Wash.
Below are the final Regional results of area athletes. A (PR) denotes a personal record, (SR) denotes a season record and (Q) signals the runner qualified for the State meet.
