Court records system still offline

Odyssey Portal remains offline after cyberattack

COLFAX. — The State of Washington’s online court records system remains offline following a cyberattack earlier this month, affecting court operations statewide, including Whitman County Superior Court in Colfax.

The Administrative Office of the Courts took the system offline after discovering the breach, leading to the rescheduling of civil cases in Whitman County Superior Court.

Those visiting Whitman County Superior Court will be unable to access case documents at the clerk’s public computer terminal in the courthouse due to the system outage.

Criminal and juvenile cases, along with those in Whitman County District Court, are unaffected by the disruption.

The Administrative Office, based in Olympia, initially aimed to restore the network this week but now expects it to remain down until next week.

Officials report no evidence that personal data was accessed in the attack.

Court officials advise individuals needing records or case information to contact their local clerk’s office directly, as staff are working to provide assistance despite the limitations of the system outage.
