Main Street reopens to traffic

Street reopens Thursday, Nov.14

PULLMAN — Main Street in downtown Pullman is set to reopen to limited westbound traffic by 6 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, as Project Downtown Pullman progresses.

Crews adjusted traffic control late Wednesday, Nov. 13, to facilitate the reopening.

Updates to traffic flow will impact Spring, Daniel, and Paradise Streets, with further guidance expected before Thursday.

Limited parallel on-street parking will be available, though parking configurations may change daily based on construction needs. Residents should also note that Pine and Kamiaken Streets now have diagonal parking on the west side.

While Main Street will be accessible, it remains an active construction area.

Drivers and pedestrians are urged to exercise caution, as short delays may occur to accommodate equipment movement.

The Bishop Boulevard truck detour will remain in effect through November.

In response to a recent mix-up, incorrectly planted Hornbeam trees along Main Street will be replaced with a suitable subspecies.

The Pullman Parks Department will replant the removed trees in local parks.
