T-R football season comes to an end
WILBUR, Wash. - The Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves football team fell to the Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats, 50-8, in a 1B District 6 crossover game on Friday, Nov. 8.
The Wildcats (10-0) are ranked No. 2 in the state, according to the final AP High School Football Poll. The Timberwolves fall to 3-6 on the season.
Wilbur-Creston-Keller scored twice in the first quarter on a 1-yard run by senior running back Davian Adams, who also got the PAT run, and a 56-yard touchdown run by senior quarterback Kallen Maioho on a QB keeper.
On the first play of the second quarter, Adams struck again on a 15-yard sweep. Early in the second, senior running back Chase Lutton notched a 7-yard TD run. Two minutes later Adams scored again on a 38-yard sweep.
With two minutes to go in the first half, Maioho scored on a 49-yard TD run, making the halftime score 44-0 in favor of the Wildcats.
The only score in the third quarter came on a 4-yard option play by Lutton, extending the Wildcats' lead.
The Timberwolves stifled the shutout early in the final frame on a 48-yard TD pass from senior quarterback Westley Bryan to junior tight end Soren Braun., making the final score 50-8.
Tekoa-Rosalia will graduate seniors Bryan, Jordan Gump and Jaden Baumann. Seven juniors will look to lead the team next season.
