Teens allegedly threatened to shoot teacher
PULLMAN — Two 14-year-old students were arrested Tuesday, Dec. 10, following threats of violence at Pullman High School.
According to reports, Pullman Police responded to reports at approximately 8:01 a.m. after school staff became aware of threats made by a student to bring a gun to school and target a teacher.
The suspects were intercepted upon their arrival, before the start of classes, and were sequestered from other students to ensure campus safety.
The school briefly entered a “secure and teach” protocol.
Police investigations revealed that multiple students had heard about the threats the day before, but did not immediately report the information.
Authorities determined that the two juveniles had threatened to “shoot up the school,” naming two student targets.
No firearm has been recovered at this time.
The suspects, a Pullman resident and a Whitman County resident, were arrested on charges of felony harassment and threats to bomb or injure property.
Both were booked into Martin Hall Juvenile Detention Facility.
Pullman High School resumed normal operations after the arrests, and no injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
