Colfax boys wrestling ranked in the top 20

Several Bulldogs are top-10 in the state rankings

COLFAX - The Colfax boys wrestling team is making a name for themselves as several wrestlers are ranked top-10 in their respective weight classes.

The Bulldogs as a team are currently ranked 19th in the state, according to the most recent Washington Wrestling Report.

Ty Scott is currently ranked No. 4 in the 113-pound weight class and Cooper Phillips is ranked No. 3 at 126 pounds. Dillon Gassenberg is ranked eighth at 138 pounds.

For the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves, Alexis Taylor is ranked third in the 190-pound weight category.

The Timberwolves will next take to the mats at the Banks Lake Brawl at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4 in Coulee City, Wash.

The Bulldogs will continue their season with a home dual against Liberty at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, in Colfax.
