Ian Olsen

Oct. 14, 2002 - Jan. 1, 2025

Our beloved son Ian Olsen passed from this life into the next on Jan 1, 2025. Loved and missed by his parents, Justin and Melanie Olsen; his siblings Asa, Mackenna, Ane and Brelynne Olsen; grandparents, Jerry Olsen, Sheryl Olsen (deceased), Peggy Lott and Jeffry Toone (deceased); and many extended family members.

Ian was born in Boise, Idaho, in 2002. Ian grew up in Colfax, Wash., where he went to school and was in the graduating class of 2021. Ian was employed by White Pine Construction, Colfax. Ian loved creating and building. He enjoyed working with his crewmates as he developed his skills and refined his craft.

He played the alto saxophone in the high school band. His passion for music grew when he began playing his guitar in the high school jazz band. Playing his guitars was his way of sharing his emotions. He looked forward to playing and sharing his skills with others whenever he could.

Ian was a joy to be around. Ian loved to laugh and uplift those around him. Ian had a big heart and loved to spend his time with his family and friends. He cared about those he chose to have be a part of his life. He was a protector of those who needed him. From an early age, Ian would stand up for those around him. He didn't back down from challenges and had a conviction of who he was.

"He was a good man to have with you in a storm."

There will be a memorial in Ian's honor. Service will be held at the LDS church in Colfax on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. Corbeill Funeral Home of Colfax is helping care for the family. On-line condolences may be made at http://www.corbeillfuneralhomes.com
